Frequently asked questions

Can you tailor training to our organization?

We can work with university partners to explore adapting existing courses or developing virtual workshops around your requirements. Customization depends on the subject, participant numbers, and the provider’s capabilities.

Who delivers the education and awards the credential?

The selected university or education provider delivers the education and issues the relevant qualification or certificate. Catalyst GEM leads the employer relationship and coordinates programme selection, registration, and agreed support.

Are all short courses separately accredited?

Not necessarily. Institutional accreditation, programme accreditation, professional certification, and a certificate of completion are different. We identify the provider, award, and relevant accreditation or recognition for each proposed option.

Can employees study while continuing to work?

We confirm weekly workload, attendance requirements, and assessment deadlines before registration so you and your employees can plan around work commitments. The schedule depends on the selected programme.

Does the company have to pay for employees’ education?

A partnership can support company-funded training, employees funding their own study, or a combination of both. This allows you to support staff development beyond the programmes covered by your training budget.

Are preferential fees, scholarships, or payment plans available?

These can be explored where offered by the university partner. Eligibility and terms depend on the programme, participant numbers, and provider. Any available benefits are confirmed in the proposal.

Can employees participate without previous university qualifications?

Entry requirements vary. Some short courses may suit employees with workplace experience, while degree programmes have specific academic requirements. We help identify appropriate options based on each employee’s background.

Is there a minimum number of employees required?

Requirements depend on the offering. Individual employees may join existing programmes, while dedicated cohorts or customized training may require a minimum group size. We confirm this when reviewing your needs.

What support will our HR team receive?

Before launch, we agree responsibilities and what participation or progress reporting the provider can supply. We also establish how HR can raise learner issues and arrange follow-up.

What capability would make the biggest difference?

Tell us about your people and business priorities. We’ll help identify suitable education options.
